Seven Oaks Artist
Rajas Londhe

Rajas Londhe, originally from India, began her career as a self-taught artist; drawing and painting as a youth.  She is now a resident of Orangeburg, South Carolina.  She has been active in the Orangeburg League of Arts (OLA) for several years.   She enhanced her skills in watercolor painting by attending several workshops through OLA.

For the past three years, Rajas has been pursuing her new found interest, mixed media.  She finds the medium to be intriguing and challenging.  Working in mixed media affords her a creative outlet for expressing herself with color, texture, and shape.  Creating unique art objects is her ultimate goal.

Rajas trained with several local artists to enhance her artistic skills including watercolor workshops by the late Joe Jones and the late Carol Ann Rose.  She currently attends mixed media classes taught by Ingrid Carson.  In addition, she is part of an art group taught by Campbell Frost, and a member of Seven Oaks Art League (SOAL).

Rajas gained recognition for her art work at both the local and state level including a number of Juried Awards and Fine Arts Purchase awards at the SC State Fair and Orangeburg County Fair.  Additionally, her art work has been accepted in Juried Shows in South Carolina.
