I enjoy the challenge of creating an abstract feeling of movement; waves, clouds, billowing tattered curtains. Mixed media textures also find their way to me.
My little box of tools contains a variety of painting mediums from acrylics to wax and all things in between. I call upon found objects and surrogate uses of common items to incorporate within a piece. I use primarily 9X12 clay board and 16X20 wrapped canvas.
I am currently working in a mixed media format using transparent fluid acrylics over a base coat of golden gesso to produce an under glow of light and movement. I feel a peaceful aura during the creative process and it is hoped that the viewer will feel this warmth as well.
