My interest in all things creative was quite evident at a very early age. As a child growing up in Michigan you would find me putting together “sculptures” with found objects. As I grew up I migrated to pen and paper; drawing up architectural designs for homes, searching magazines for fabrics and furniture to complete my projects. My teen years were spent sewing and drawing. I received my first art award with a first place ribbon for a pen and ink still life at the age of seventeen. Since then I have taken many paths to express my creativity including becoming a Certified Interior Designer. My drawings have been published in newsprint advertising, brochures, posters, etc. It wasn’t until I moved to South Carolina in 1997 that I ventured into painting. I began painting in oils, moved to abstract acrylics, mixed media and collage. My artwork has been accepted into juried shows in South Carolina. I allow my creativity to evolve, to take me where ever it will. My paintings are usually rich with texture, color, movement, and warmth. I absolutely love painting in abstract, I am continually amazed at where my art takes me. I marvel at the unexpected. I listen to my God given creative voice and follow where it leads...the end result is always joyful.
