Don has been working in stained glass for many years and has acquired a
fascination for the colors and textures of glass. The passion for color on canvas surfaced as Don experimented with Golden acrylics, along with his growing interest of infusing natural objects into a tactile paint surface.
Don seeks to arrange colors so that they create emotions.
The viewer is invited to step into the painting and experience ever changing
color and images in various light situations. He seeks to weave colors into motion and the paint becomes the fibers of each canvas. No two paintings are woven alike and no two persons see the same image, as the psyche of the individual is tapped;
he hopes to draw you into long visual journeys as you explore the color and
tangible quality of each canvas.
