Suzanne Amodio (her name means "love God") born in Middletown, N.Y., worked in sales for 4 years and owned her own sub-contracting business. In 1992 Suzanne began sketching after working with local deputies at a crime scene. She would return home and sketch what she had seen there. Because of her interest in the law, the deputies encouraged her to attend the Police Academy. She graduated from there in May of 1996. Suzanne remains on call for the police departments, however, most of her time is spent painting. She has submitted two paintings to the State Fair and one is in Five Points at the Portfolio Gallery. She has often donated paintings to the State Hospital for fund raisers. When Suzanne is not painting she is antiquing or shopping for new hats!
